Neighborhood Dogs Know Just Where to Go
Ikram Korkmazer, a butcher in Turkey, was raised in a family that valued kindness above all else. He now owns his own butcher shop and has an important policy—all stray animals that stop by receive scraps of meat. He has always loved dogs and cats and even named his shop after the first stray he fed there.
Dogs now line up eagerly awaiting a treat from the butcher. He never lets them down and always has some leftover scraps ready to hand out. This is a place where they can get both food and love. The butcher has earned thousands of followers on social media by sharing videos and pictures of these beloved neighborhood animals. We love to support those who constantly give back. Thanks, Ikram!
Tips to Keep Your Dog Safe in the Pool
Summer is the season of swimming and water activities. When your family splashes around in the pool, it’s important to consider the safety of your canine kids. Swimming is a great activity for them, but accidents can happen, and you should always be concerned about safety. Here are five main safety measures for dogs and pools:
Ensure your dog knows how to swim. There are methods to train dogs to swim. You can introduce them to the water slowly and start with just 10 minutes in the pool. They will start to build confidence.
Invest in a dog life jacket. Life vests give you an extra layer of security and can help your dog as they are learning to swim. Some breeds will never be strong swimmers, so these can be a big help.
Get a suitable pool cover. The cover should be securely attached to the edge of the pool. Dogs sometimes wander on top of them and risk falling in without anyone noticing.
Train your dog to exit the pool safely. Give the dog a ramp or accessible set of stairs to get out of the pool safely. Use treats to reward them when they use them.
Learn CPR. Drowning and water intoxication can happen, and the best way to prevent an accident with your pet is to learn how to perform CPR on your animal.
Once your safety measures are in place, enjoy some fun summer afternoons splashing and swimming with the whole family.
The One Meat You Should Never Feed your Dog
There is 1 dangerous food that you need to stop feeding your dog immediately.
This food can harm your dog and is the #1 worst food you can give it.
Many dog food manufacturers include this ingredient in their dog foods and is one that most dogs consume on a daily basis.
This is something that is not being reported by most mainstream media and big dog food manufacturers.

Treat Your Pup to a Pina Colada
One popular summer treat is an ice-cold Pina Colada (especially one with a colorful little umbrella.) Now, you can use this recipe to allow your pup to enjoy these tropical flavors alongside you. It’s the perfect treat after a safe afternoon in the pool. Plus, the recipe only requires two ingredients, so it’s incredibly easy.
You’ll need: One cup of chopped pineapple, ¼ cup of organic coconut oil, a blender, silicone molds, or ice cube trays.
Place the pineapple into a blender and blend until smooth.
Melt the coconut oil for 30 seconds and add to the pineapple in the blender. Mix until well combined.
Place the molds or ice cube trays onto a baking tray for easy transfer to the freezer.
Pour the mixture into the molds and freeze for 2-3 hours.
Serve it up to your pup!
