3 Paw-Print Fall Crafts with Your Pup

Who says crafts are just for kids? Our pups deserve to join in the fall fun too! Just be sure this is a good fit for your doggo—these crafts are ideal for pups who don’t have sensitive paws and don’t mind a little paw handling. Ready to get messy with some non-toxic paint? Let’s go!

  1. Paw-Print Pumpkin Painting

What’s fall without pumpkins? And what’s cuter than your pup helping you decorate one? Grab a pumpkin (real or craft), some non-toxic paint, and your pup’s precious paws for this project.

You’ll need:

  • Non-toxic, washable children’s paint, pumpkin, and a large drop cloth

How to do it: Lay down a drop cloth and dip your dog’s paw in paint. Blot off any excess paint before pressing their paw firmly onto the pumpkin. Change up the colors for extra fun! Once dry, you’ll have the cutest paw-stamped pumpkin to show off.

2. Paw-kin Patch Painting

Turn your pup's paw prints into a "paw-kin patch"! With just a few orange paw stamps, you can create a whole pumpkin patch on paper. Add green paint for vines and stems, and you have a perfect fall scene to hang up in your home.

You’ll need:

  • Orange and green non-toxic paint and a large sheet of paper

How to do it: Dip your pup’s paw in orange paint and stamp away to create pumpkin shapes. Use a small brush (or your finger) to add green stems and curly vines. Voilà! A pumpkin patch made with love... and paws.

3. Fall Paw-Print Tree

Here’s a super fun way to make a fall tree out of your dog’s paw prints! This craft works best with multiple paint colors to represent the changing leaves of autumn.

You’ll need:

  • Non-toxic paint in fall colors (red, yellow, orange, brown) and a large sheet of paper

How to do it: Dip your pup’s paw in one fall color at a time, and let them “walk” across the paper to create the tree's foliage. This part is especially fun because you never know which direction they’ll go or how many paw prints you’ll get—it’s like spontaneous surprise art!

Then use a paintbrush to draw a tree trunk beneath the colorful paw-print leaves. When it’s all done, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind autumn tree that’s perfect for framing.

If you feel crafty and try out one of these projects with your pup, we’d absolutely love to see them. Send the pics our way!

Must-Have Fall Essentials for Your Pup

Fall is here, which means it’s time to get your pup ready for the cooler weather! From cozy sweaters to snuggly pajamas, these essentials will keep your dog comfy, stylish, and ready for all the autumn things.

1. Waterproof Dog Coat

With cooler temps and winter on the horizon, a warm, all-purpose dog coat is a must! Wet plus cold weather is no fun—so a waterproof coat will keep your pup dry, warm, and comfortable. Perfect for those rainy fall walks!

2. Fall-Themed Bandana

Is it even fall if your dog isn’t rocking a cute leaf-patterned bandana? This accessory adds the perfect seasonal touch to your pup’s look.

3. Dog Heating Pad

Does your dog pace around until you give them a warm blanket or cozy spot in bed? It can’t just be mine. For those extra cold days, a heated spot will quickly become your pup’s favorite. There are plenty of roomy heating pads with adjustable temperatures and chew-resistant cords. You might even find yourself stealing it every now and then!

4. Paw Balm

Don’t let fall weather dry out your dog’s paws! A natural, moisturizing paw balm with ingredients like cocoa butter, shea butter, and aloe vera will keep their feet soft and crack-free.

5. Light-Up Collar or Harness

With fall’s shorter days and earlier nights, a light-up collar or harness keeps your pup safe and visible on evening walks. Plus, they’ll look extra cool with that glow.

What do you think your pup would love most from this list? I know mine would definitely choose the heating pad!
