Every dog must have his day."
Did you know…?
Joke: What kind of dogs don't play football?
(scroll to the bottom to find the answer!)
These Dogs Must be Automatic Athletes
Simone Biles was a star in the Paris Olympics, but once things settle back down again, her dogs will be back to starring on her Instagram page. Simone is married to NFL star Jonathan Owens, and she loves dressing the dogs, Lilo and Rambo, in NFL jerseys to cheer on their dad. They aren’t the only dogs in the household, Owens has a bulldog named Zeus.
The Olympic gymnast will be ready for the football season to start soon, and hopefully, she’s got new jerseys for Owens’ new team, the Chicago Bears. We love to see a whole family cheering each other on.
Is Ginger Good for Dogs?
Ginger is a go-to food when we have upset stomachs, but is it possible to feed it to your dog? Experts say that dogs can eat ginger safely, but it should only be served in small amounts. Too much can have the opposite effect and upset your pup’s stomach. Try just a pinch of powdered ginger or a small slice.
Ginger is an anti-inflammatory and can help regulate blood sugar, ease nausea, and improve digestion. The easiest way to serve it to dogs is to give them a treat or supplement that includes ginger as an ingredient. Some dogs don’t love the taste, but if it’s cooked, it can mellow the taste a bit. Give your dog a little bit and see if they like it.
DOTD - Meet Huck
Huck is a Golden Retriever, and he absolutely loves the water. During the summer months, you’ll often find him hanging out by the pool. We can imagine his delight when his dad made him a raft of his very own. Now, it’s become nearly impossible to get him out of the pool. We get it; it’s nice to take a “paws” and enjoy a little relaxation. Thanks, Whitney for sharing!
