A Dog Mom Dinner Dance Party
Dogs have a way of picking up on our moods, even when we donāt say a word. In a recent video, a dog named Renegade seems to notice her owner needs a little boost and steps in at just the right time. Itās a small moment, but one that shows how tuned-in dogs can be to the people they love.
The shift starts when Renegade walks over carrying a wine glass in her mouth, which gets an immediate laugh and lightens the mood. From there, the two lean into the moment by pouring a drink and even making a dog-friendly āpup cupā so they can share the experience.
What could have been a typical night of cooking turns into something more fun, with music playing and both of them moving around the kitchen together.
Itās a good reminder that dogs donāt just follow along with our routines. They often help shape them. Whether itās through play, closeness, or moments like this, they have a way of bringing us back to the present without us even realizing it.

Dog of the Day, Yoshi
Meet Yoshi, a 6-year-old black-and-tan Shiba Inu with a personality thatās impossible to ignore, submitted by Daily Dig reader Danielle.
Yoshi takes his job as backyard security very seriously, keeping a close eye on birds, rabbits, and squirrels at all times. When heās off duty, youāll find him playing ball, sneaking off with paper products (toilet paper is a top choice), or heading out for a well-earned Starbucks pup cup. Yoshi also knows over 20 tricks!
Thank you to Daily Dig reader Danielle for sharing Yoshi with us. Have a pup with a big personality? Send in their photo for a chance to see your dog featured as a future dog of the day.

A Pet-Safe Guide to Motherās Day Flowers
Flowers are a classic Motherās Day gift, but if your mom is also a pet parent, itās worth taking a closer look at whatās in that bouquet. Some popular flowers can be harmful to dogs and cats, even in small amounts. A little extra thought here can make the gift feel even more thoughtful.
There are plenty of beautiful options that are considered safer for homes with pets. Roses, sunflowers, orchids, snapdragons, and gerbera daisies are all commonly used in pet-friendly arrangements. Freesias, waxflower, and lisianthus are also great choices if youāre putting something together or picking one out. Even with safer picks, itās still a good idea to keep bouquets out of reach since curious pups may still try to nibble.
If youāre not sure whatās included in an arrangement, a quick check before gifting can go a long way. Itās a simple way to make sure your flowers are just as safe as they are meaningful.
