Abandoned Dog Is Now Living Her Best Life
Snookie is now living the high life she wholeheartedly deserves after being abandoned.
Her transformation (little did she know) started in July when she was dumped over the Humane Society of Atlantic Countyâs fence in the middle of the nightâsadly, not the first time this individual had done it.
But Snookie's story didnât end there. The shelter cared for her, and after some time, she was ready for adoption. On September 20th, the Humane Society shared the wonderful news: Snookie found her forever home in Texas, complete with two doggy brothers andâwait for itâa private doggy pool!
In their heartwarming update, the shelter posted Snookie playing in her new yard, with her brothers and that amazing dog pool in the background. Fully embracing her glamorous new life, Snookie was also spotted rocking pink claw caps and oversized sunglasses!
From being abandoned to living her best life, Snookieâs journey shows what every dog deserves: a loving home and a happy ending.

6 Best Tattoo Styles for Dog Lovers
It's common to see dog lovers with tattoos of their beloved pups â whether to celebrate them while they're still here or as a permanent way to honor them after theyâve passed. No matter when you get the tattoo, it's a beautiful tribute to the ones who leave the biggest paw prints on our hearts!
If you're thinking about getting one yourself, there's a tattoo style that's perfect for keeping your pup close forever. Here are some beautiful styles to consider:
Silhouette
Silhouettes are so elegant looking. This tattoo design outlines your dogâs shape in a way thatâs simple, but also personal. You can choose any pose that feels just like them â whether itâs that funny head tilt when you grab the peanut butter jar or the sweet way they rest their head on your leg.
Watercolor
Watercolor tattoos are colorful and vibrant â perfect for reflecting your dogâs lively personality. This style uses splashes and brushstrokes to capture their energy, playfulness, or free spirit. Watercolor tattoos are always gorgeous and make a beautiful statement.
Realistic Portrait
For those who want a lifelike representation, a detailed portrait tattoo is the way to go â capturing those soulful eyes, perky ears, or that goofy smile. This style requires an artist skilled in realism to bring your dog to life on your skin. Every time you look at it, itâs like having your best friend looking back at you. Itâs amazing that this level of detail is even possible!
Paw Print
A paw print tattoo is a classic for a reason. Whether you go with a simple outline or something more detailed with your dogâs name or a small heart, itâs a lasting reminder of their unconditional love. The best part? A paw print looks great anywhere â whether on your wrist, forearm, shoulder, or neck, itâs beautiful wherever you want it.
Minimalist Outline
If youâre drawn to something more subtle, or if itâs your first tattoo, a minimalist outline of your dogâs face, ears, or even tail is a beautiful choice. The clean lines capture the essence of your dog without too much detail, yet itâs still a powerful image of your bond.
Name or Initials with a Date
Sometimes, the simplest designs carry the most meaning. Tattooing your dogâs name or initials in a beautiful font can be all you need. You could even include a significant date â whether itâs the day they came into your life or the day they crossed the rainbow bridge.
Do you have a tattoo of your pup? Weâd love to see it!
Why Do Shelter Dogs Have Tattoos?
Have you ever wondered why some shelter dogs have tattoos? It might seem surprising, but these little ink marks serve an important purpose!
The main reason behind these dog tattoos is to show that a dog has been spayed or neutered. Vets use small tattoos (usually a simple line) to prevent unnecessary surgeries in the future. Imagine a vet trying to figure out if a dog has already been "fixed"âthat tiny tattoo can save a lot of confusion (and surgery). The ink is usually green and placed near the incision. Two of my pups have them!
Another reason is to help if a pup gets lost. Shelters and vets sometimes tattoo an ID number on a dogâs inner thigh, which can be a lifesaver if they wander off. While microchips have become more popular, some shelters still use both methods. Unlike microchips, tattoos are visible right away, even to people or shelters without microchip scanners.
So next time you spot a pup with a little ink, you'll know a bit of their story. Do any of your pups have these tattoos?
