Breed Spotlight: Mini Aussiedoodle
If youâve ever met a Mini Aussiedoodle, you know itâs like squeezing a big personality into a pint-sized pup. These dogs may be small (usually 15 to 35 pounds), but their energy and charm can easily fill a whole room.
Born from a Miniature Australian Shepherd and a Miniature Poodle, they come in all kinds of looks. Some rock tight curls, others lean shaggy, and their coats range from sleek black to eye-catching merle patterns. Grooming is a must, but the payoff is a dog that turns heads everywhere they go.
Theyâre also whip-smart and playful, which means theyâll happily join in whatever youâre doing, whether itâs backyard soccer, a hike, or just being the star of your Zoom call. Their herding instincts can pop up (yes, even on kidsâ ankles), but early training keeps things fun and balanced.
With a lifespan of 12â15 years, these pups are loyal, energetic companions who will keep you laughing, moving, and loved for years to come.

Are You Your Dogâs Favorite Human?
Ever wonder if your dog secretly likes someone else more? Turns out, dogs do tend to have a favorite person, and it's usually the one who plays with them, trains them, or just sticks to a routine.
Dogs with easygoing personalities might love everyone equally, but anxious or shy dogs often cling to the most consistent person in the house. Playtime helps tooâif youâre the tug-of-war partner, youâre probably winning favorite status.
There are signs. If your dog follows you from room to room, sleeps touching you, or greets you like a rock star, youâre likely the chosen one.
The good news? Bonds can shift. If you want to strengthen your connection, focus on positive training, daily routines, calm greetings, and setting clear boundaries. In a dogâs eyes, love and leadership go paw in paw.

Could Your Home Pay for Long-Term Care?
Many of us dream about growing old comfortably in the home we love. But as care needs increase, so do the costs, often reaching over $5,000 a month for in-home assistance. If youâre 62 or older, a reverse mortgage can offer a practical solution by turning home equity into tax-free cash (without giving up ownership or moving out). That means you can stay in familiar surroundings, get the care you need, and preserve your independence â all on your terms.
To qualify for a reverse mortgage, you must meet the following requirements:
You must be at least 62 years old.
You must own your home outright or have a low remaining mortgage balance that can be paid off at closing with reverse mortgage proceeds.
The home must be your primary residence (not a second home or rental property).
Eligible properties include single-family homes, FHA-approved condos, townhomes, and certain multi-unit properties (up to 4 units, as long as you live in one).
You must demonstrate the ability to pay property taxes, homeowners insurance, and maintenance costs.
You must complete a HUD-approved reverse mortgage counseling session to ensure you understand the loan terms and implications.

Dog of the Day, Ivy
Meet Ivy, one of the newest members of the Daily Dig team! This 4œ-month-old mini Aussiedoodle mix has a little bit of Border Collie, Beagle, and German Shepherd in her.
Ivy is super sweet, loves everyone she meets, and lights up around other dogs. While sheâs happiest outside in the garden, sheâll easily trade dirt for a good football game, especially if Ohio State is playing. (Yes, the bandana is mandatory.)
Sheâs got the biggest tail wag and a full-on butt wiggle every time she sees someone she loves. Want to see your pup featured? Send in a photo and a few fun facts. Weâd love to share their story!

This Is The Most Toxic Thing In Your Laundry Room
You wash your clothes to keep them clean and safe, but what if your detergent is doing the opposite?
Experts now warn that many top-selling detergents leave behind toxic residues that stick to your clothes and soak into your skin, even after rinsing.
These chemicals are absorbed into your skin, breathed into your lungs, and even transferred onto your bed sheets, underwear, and baby clothes.
Some of the worst offenders are hidden behind vague labels like âfragranceâ or âbrighteners,â which often contain hormone disruptors, carcinogens, and synthetic chemicals banned in other countries.
And the most shocking part is detergent companies aren't even required to list most of these ingredients.
Which is why thousands of families are ditching traditional detergents and switching to this safer, non-toxic alternative.
