6 Golden Retriever Puppies Abandoned… and Homed!

Six Golden Retriever puppies were abandoned on a beach one morning and found homes less than four hours later. What an eventful day for them!

On August 21, Nueces County of Texas posted on its Facebook page about the six puppies they had picked up from the beach. The post shared with the community that the pups looked healthy and invited anyone interested in adopting them to contact the Nueces Animal Shelter. They included adorable photos of the little furballs hanging out in a vehicle after their rescue and that must have done it – less than four hours later, each puppy had a home lined up.

Nueces County Animal Services responded on their Facebook page with a heartfelt message: "The power of community is amazing.”

While it’s so sad to think that someone could abandon this bunch of innocent puppies, it’s heartwarming to know they’ll all be safe and sound in their new homes. Clearly, they ended up exactly where they were meant to be.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the individual responsible for dumping these precious puppies on the beach has been found and will be held accountable.

What is Canine Chiropractic Care?

In today’s world, we’re all focused on seeking the best for our health—whether it’s through yoga, meditation, acupuncture, or chiropractic care. The same level of care can apply to our dogs! Did you know that chiropractic care isn't just for humans? Just like us, dogs can benefit from chiropractic treatment. Let’s explore what canine chiropractic care is all about!

How Doggy Chiropractic Works

Canine chiropractic care focuses on your dog's spine. Licensed veterinary chiropractors perform gentle adjustments to realign vertebrae, relieve nerve pressure, and enhance overall wellness. They’ll carefully manipulate your pup’s spine, addressing misalignments that may be causing issues.

This approach supports natural healing. For those who might be cautious about alternative treatments, rest assured: the American Kennel Club confirms that chiropractic care is safe when performed by a properly trained and certified professional.

What Can Canine Chiropractic Help With?

Chiropractic care for dogs can be incredibly beneficial for a ton of issues. The spine, being the body’s center—ours and theirs!—influences movement, mood, and overall well-being. Whether your pup is dealing with injuries, discomfort, or mobility challenges, chiropractic care can help restore balance and ease in their body. Here are some conditions chiropractic care can address:

  • Limping, weakness, or loss of coordination in the legs

  • Visible signs of pain

  • Hip pain or hip dysplasia

  • Discomfort or sensitivity when standing, lying down, or being touched

  • Stiffness, muscle spasms, or abnormal posture

  • Incontinence

  • Dragging of the feet

  • Recovery after a fall, injury, or surgery

  • Yelping or reacting to sudden movements or pressure

  • Neurological issues

  • Disc issues

  • Behavioral issues

  • Improving gait, range of motion, or ability to jump

  • Easing the birthing process for pregnant dogs

What to Expect When Starting

When you take your pup to a doggy chiropractor, the process begins with a thorough examination, which may include X-rays to evaluate spinal alignment. Based on this assessment, a customized treatment plan is created to address your dog’s specific needs.

Initial treatment typically involves multiple sessions, often scheduled weekly or biweekly. As your dog progresses, these sessions may become less frequent. Some dog parents notice immediate improvements in their pup’s movement and pain levels, while others see gradual changes over several sessions.

Canine chiropractic care focuses on a slow and steady approach, ensuring your dog’s comfort and well-being throughout the process. The goal is to make gentle adjustments without rushing or overloading your pup’s body.

Have you tried canine chiropractic care for your pup? How did it go? We’d love to hear your experiences!

Watch These Dog Reactions at the Chiropractor

This man is healing dogs one crack at a time! Murat Colak is an animal chiropractor who spends his time finding the spots that need adjustment and performing gentle manipulations as needed. In this video, you can see how surprised the dogs look after hearing these loud cracks in their bodies. They look like they’re questioning what just happened and turn to Colak for answers!

It’s worth mentioning how brave and confident Colak is – he’s working with dogs of all sizes and breeds and remains calm and confident. He simply trusts the pups he’s working with… and I imagine that’s why they have put so much trust in him, too. Check out his TikTok for more incredible videos of Colak working his magic on pups in need of it.
