Halloween is going to the dogs, literally. From October 23–26, the first-ever Treat Street took place in New York City. It’s a four-day citywide celebration that turns Manhattan into a dog-friendly Halloween village. Expect haunted dog houses, themed photo ops, and plenty of healthy treats, all leading up to a Saturday parade and costume contest in Washington Square Park.

Each day brings a new stop: Chelsea Waterside Park, Union Square, and finally Domino Park in Brooklyn. Pups can “trick-or-treat” at booths featuring spots like the Boneyard Bungalow and Howl’-o-Lantern, sample Snap Sticks, and even meet adoptable dogs from Waldo’s Rescue.

Saturday’s main event features corgis in witch hats, doodles in pumpkin suits, and prizes for the best costume, including a year of free food.

Four-year-old Chynna Mei-Ling is looking festive and fabulous fresh from the groomer, complete with pumpkin bows and a Halloween bandana to match. This spirited Shih Tzu has been by Debbie’s side since she was just 7 weeks old, filling every day with love, laughter, and the occasional paper chase.
