The Best Drive-Thru Treats for Dogs

Some fast-food chains don’t just cater to people. They’ve made space on the menu for dogs, too. These little extras, like pup cups and biscuits, are available year-round, and they’re an easy way to make your dog’s day a little brighter.

Starbucks is the most famous stop, where a free Puppaccino (a small cup of whipped cream) has become a dog-approved classic. Dairy Queen offers a Pup Cup topped with a Milk-Bone, while Sonic has Wag Cups with soft serve. At Dunkin’, some locations hand out a Cup for Pup, and Chick-fil-A often keeps Milk-Bones or even small ice cream cups on hand.

Regional favorites join in, too. Rita’s Italian Ice serves Pup Cups with Milk-Bones, and Andy’s Frozen Custard offers free Pup Cones (a tiny custard cone just for dogs).

Not every location participates, so it’s always worth asking before you order. But when they do, it’s a simple way to turn a routine drive-thru into a shared treat. For dogs, it’s not just the snack, it’s the joy of being included!

Dog of the Day, Uuna

Vet Bills Won’t Break the Bank If You Have the Right Insurance

Surprise vet bills can certainly bite. But fear not, pet insurance can be your lifeline. Some plans cover major surgeries — which can cost up to $7,000 — so you can afford the best care for your pet. Check out our top-rated pet insurance providers, with some plans offering coverage for just $1 a day, multi-pet coverage, and reimbursement options of up to 90%. With the right coverage, you could keep your pet (and your wallet) happy.

Is Excited Peeing Normal for Dogs?

If you’ve ever come home to a wagging tail and a little puddle, you’re not alone. Excited peeing is fairly common in puppies and sometimes seen in adult dogs. While it can be frustrating, experts say it’s usually not something to worry about (at least at first).

Puppies under six months often lack full bladder control, which explains why greetings and play can trigger accidents. But age isn’t the only factor. Dogs who aren’t fully housetrained or those who get overwhelmed by enthusiastic greetings are more likely to pee when happy. Timid pups or rescues with sensitive temperaments may also urinate submissively when feeling nervous.

Sometimes, though, excited peeing can signal a medical issue like a urinary tract infection or bladder stones. If the behavior appears suddenly in older dogs or continues despite training, vets recommend checking in with your clinic.

The good news? Most dogs improve with patience, consistent training, and calm greetings. Vets and trainers agree: keep it positive, never punish, and remember that accidents are part of the process.

The Easiest Way to Upgrade Your Coffee at Home

I don’t know about you, but like most Americans, the first thing I reach for every morning is my favorite mug and the coffee in my pantry. Until recently, I settled for any coffee that seemed ā€œokayā€ at the grocery store, hoping it’d do the job of waking me up. I didn’t care about its flavor or quality. Then I discovered Trade, and everything changed.

Trade introduced me to some of the most exciting small-batch roasters and coffee shops across the country—the kinds of places I’d love to visit if I lived nearby. I took their quick quiz about my coffee preferences, and they matched me with unique coffees I’d never find at the grocery store. Now, I can’t imagine my mornings without them.

Each bag is roasted fresh and shipped directly to my door. I was amazed at how much better it tasted than my usual grocery store coffee, and I didn’t have to change my brewing routine at all. The aroma? Even my mail carrier noticed and asked about it—it was that good. I’m never going back to the grocery store for coffee again.

For a limited time, Daily Dig readers can enjoy 50% off their first order when they sign up for a Trade subscription. Simply share your preferences—such as taste, grind, and coffee consumption—and find your perfect roast. Then, sit back, relax, and enjoy fresh coffee delivered right to your doorstep. There’s no risk, only the reward of exceptional coffee.
