It’s National Donut Day today, and one of the most popular donut spots in America is Dunkin Donuts. This company just couldn’t keep leaving dogs out of the fun. Dunkin partnered with Milk-Bone. Now, you can find a Vanilla Glaze flavor dog biscuit. The treat is inspired by the most famous donut at the chain.

Don’t worry—the pups get sprinkles, too. Each treat is coated in a vanilla-flavored coating and finished off with colorful sprinkles. For each box of treats purchased, part of the proceeds go to the Dunkin Joy in Childhood Foundation, which brings joy to kids battling illnesses with animal-assisted therapy.

The cone is one of the worst experiences for a pup. They struggle to navigate with the cone of shame around their neck, but it protects them from infections after surgery and helps speed up recovery. If your dog has to wear one of these cones or donuts, here are a few tips to help them settle in and stay comfortable:

• Clear the routes. Move any obstacles out of the way so there are no tripping hazards.

• Comfy beds. There should be plenty of comfortable places to rest and relax.

• Lots of rewards. Give your pup some treats when they’re calm and relaxed in the cone.

• Show them lots of love. Physical contact can help calm the pups down.

• Keep yourself calm. Our pets sense our emotions, so try to remain calm.

• Occupy them with mental stimulation. Use food puzzles and treat balls to help them focus on something other than the cone. These are ways to wear them out without physical activity.

If you aren’t able to find the Dunkin treats or want to have a little fun in your kitchen, you can make your own dog donuts for your dog with this recipe. It takes 25 minutes total, so grab the ingredients and make some fun treats for your pup.

Easy Dog Donut Recipe

You’ll need: 2 donut pans, mixing bowls, one cup of mashed bananas, ¾ cup of natural creamy peanut butter, ¼ of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of honey, one large egg, one cup of whole wheat flour, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ cup of Greek yogurt

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease two 6-cup donut tins.

2. Combine mashed bananas, ½ cup of peanut butter, coconut oil, and honey in a mixing bowl. Add the egg in and mix. Stir in flour and baking soda until combined.

3. Transfer the batter to prepared donut tins and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Let them cool down for a few minutes, and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

4. For the frosting, mix the Greek yogurt and the remaining ¼ cup of peanut butter until smooth and creamy. Add to your donuts with a knife or spatula.

5. Sprinkle with crushed biscuits if you want, and serve to your pup!
