ā¤ļø A special word from our pups

True or False?
Dogs have taste buds for something we donāt.

Cockapoo Puppy Chooses New Mom
Grab a tissue, because this heartwarming story is sure to tug at your heartstrings.
Losing a beloved pup leaves a hole in our hearts, making it hard to imagine loving another. This mom felt the same after losing her dog of 14 years, unsure if she could ever connect with another. But when she met Mylo, a sweet Cockapoo, he made the choice easy by curling up on her feet and falling asleep.
Their bond was instant. She drove hours to meet him, then made the same trip to bring him home. Now, watching him play with his big sisterās toys warms her heart. Sometimes, the right pup finds us when we least expect it.

Best Fall Foliage Hikes with Your Pup (No Matter Where You Are)
Once the air turns crisp, we all start thinking about fall. And one of the best parts? The fall foliage. How lucky are we to live in places where the seasons change, bringing vibrant colors of red, yellow, and orange? Itās a special time of year that we always make time for.
Weāve compiled a list of states that experience this magical transformation, so no matter where you are, you can enjoy it with your pup. Theyāll love the new sights, smells, and pace just as much as you will. Here you go!
North Carolina: Dupont State Park
Dupont State Park offers over 10,000 acres and 27 dog-friendly trails. Famous for its waterfalls, this park provides a breathtaking fall backdrop of rich oranges, reds, and yellows. Keep your pup leashed and take in the beautiful views as you hike through this scenic wonderland.
Vermont: Stowe
Stowe has earned its title as "Fallās Color Capital" for a reason. The vibrant reds and oranges along the winding mountain roads are unmatched. Whether you and your pup are hiking Mount Mansfield, exploring the charming town, or taking a scenic drive, Stoweās foliage makes it one of the best spots to enjoy with your dog.
Virginia: Shenandoah National Park
Virginia's Shenandoah National Park is home to the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering over 500 miles of hiking trails, with most of them open to pups. The parkās mountains and waterfalls look even more magical as theyāre framed by the fiery fall leaves ā itās a must for you and your pup.
California: Lassen Volcanic National Park
Most people think of beaches and sunshine when California comes to mind, but it has its own fall foliage too! Lassen Volcanic National Park bursts with color from late September through October. You and your pup can hike through beautiful forests where bright orange and yellow aspens and cottonwoods light up the landscape.
New York: Catskill Mountains
For breathtaking fall views in New York, head to the Catskills. Trails like Kaaterskill Falls offer waterfall vistas framed by vibrant foliage, while Overlook Mountain gives you and your pup a panoramic view of the colorful Catskill Mountains.
Tennessee: Great Smoky Mountains National Park
The Great Smoky Mountains shared between Tennessee and North Carolina, are famous for their fall colors. The Oconaluftee River Trail is an easy, dog-friendly hike that lets you take in the stunning fall scenery along the riverbank.
Minnesota: North Shore
Minnesotaās North Shore along Lake Superior comes alive with fall color. The Superior Hiking Trail offers dog-friendly hikes where youāll be treated to views of the lake, waterfalls, and colorful fall foliage lining the trail.
The Cutest Dog Mascots (The Real MVPs of Sports)
Sports arenāt for everyone. Some people think watching a game is boring or maybe get confused trying to follow all the rules. But, do you know what could make sports infinitely better? Dogs. Yes, many college and professional teams have pups as their official or unofficial mascots, and Iām pretty sure they bring in just as many dog lovers as diehard sports fans.
Here are some top sports dog mascots worth watching the game for:
Hank (Milwaukee Brewers)
Hank's journey from stray to stadium star is straight out of a feel-good movie. As a stray pup, Hank wandered into the Brewers' spring training facility and was adopted by the team in 2014. Hank is now a fan favorite and helped to raise thousands for local dog rescues. Nowadays, heās living his best life with a loving family in Milwaukee, and yes, he even has his own bobblehead. Who wouldnāt want to watch a game for Hank?
Captain (Washington Capitals)
The Washington Capitals brought Captain, an adorable yellow Labrador pup, on board in 2019, and he's been loved ever since. Captain has even walked the red carpet alongside star player Alexander Ovechkin. Though his time with the team is temporary (heās training to become a service dog), Captain's presence has brought endless smiles to the rink. Plus, seeing a puppy in hockey gear is reason enough to tune in.
Swagger Jr. (Cleveland Browns)
The Cleveland Browns might not have the best record, but Swagger Jr., their 145-lb bull mastiff, might just steal the spotlight. He took over for his dad, Swagger, who retired after years of revving up the Dawg Pound at FirstEnergy Stadium. Swagger Jr. is hoping to help turn the team's luck aroundāand maybe grab a playoff spot.
Uga (Georgia Bulldogs)
No mascot list would be complete without Uga, the University of Georgiaās beloved bulldog. This iconic pooch has been proudly representing the Bulldogs since 1956, and weāre now on the tenth āUgaā in the line. Uga travels with the team, has his own jersey, and even made the cover of Sports Illustrated. One of his most memorable moments is a run-in with Texas Longhorns mascot, Bevo. Letās just say things got...heated.
Do you watch any sports for their mascots? Whoās your favorite?
