Their latest fundraiser, “Tearing Up My Heart,” lets donors submit a name (an ex, an old boss, even “pineapple on pizza”) to be written on a heart-shaped toy. Then, for a $5 donation, that toy gets stuffed with treats and handed over to a shelter dog for some much-needed shredding.

Last year’s version, “Love Stinks!,” raised over $8,000 by placing exes’ names in litter boxes for shelter cats. This time, the RISPCA is throwing it to the dogs—literally. Every donation helps provide enrichment for pups awaiting adoption, all while giving donors a satisfying way to say goodbye to the past.

As a bonus, participants receive a short video of the destruction so they can watch their "ex" get chewed to pieces. Whether you're mending a broken heart or just love a good cause, this fundraiser is a win-win.
