Pumpkin Patches for Dogs
With fall and pumpkin patches bursting to life, why not bring your dog along? Many U.S. farms now welcome dogs for an autumn outing full of photo ops, playtime, and plenty of wagging tails.
In the D.C.–Maryland–Virginia area, several farms allow leashed dogs to roam the patch, enjoy hayrides, and explore mazes. In Georgia, Stone Mountain Park even holds a full pumpkin festival with pet-friendly activities and live entertainment. Over in Illinois, Captain Jack’s Pumpkin Patch just outside Chicago offers seasonal dog costume contests alongside its pumpkin fields.
In Pennsylvania, Fair Haven Farms hosts “Pups in the Pumpkin Patch,” a playful weekend featuring a pup parade, agility course, and treat giveaways (plus your entry fee helps support a local pet rescue).
For a more relaxed adventure, places like Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Nebraska offer off-leash play areas and obstacle courses just for pups. Each location brings a unique twist to autumn celebrations, making it easy to include your furry friend in fall outings.

Dog of the Day Duo, Daisy and Pebbles
Meet Daisy and Pebbles, two adorable “grandpaws” living their best life in Colorado with Patricia’s son, Peter. These fluffy besties are inseparable, especially when it comes to their favorite hangout: the dog park!
With Daisy’s big smile and Pebbles’ soulful stare, it’s clear these two are total sweethearts. Whether they’re chasing tails or cuddling up, they’ve got the kind of bond that makes every day brighter.
Want your pup featured next? Send in a photo, a little bit about them, and their name to be considered for Dog of the Day!

Wineries Becoming Dog-Friendly Destinations
Imagine sipping a glass of wine on a sunny patio while your pup relaxes beside you. More wineries are opening their doors to dogs, giving pet owners a chance to enjoy the best of both worlds: great wine and great company.
A dog-friendly winery visit can be a great bonding experience. New sights, sounds, and smells keep your dog engaged, while you get to enjoy a laid-back atmosphere without the guilt of leaving them at home.
To make the most of it, pack a few basics: water, treats, and a leash your dog is comfortable in. And while wandering the grounds might be tempting, keep in mind that grapes can be unsafe for dogs.
Done thoughtfully, a winery trip with your pup is a great memory for the two of you! A relaxed afternoon with a glass in hand and a tail wagging at your feet is hard to beat.
