❤️ A special word from our pups
Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in the car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing right in your ear.”

Stranded Dog Rescued from Canal Finds Forever Family
10-year-old Dorothea was rescued after she was found floating down a canal on a submerged shopping cart. Nobody knows how long this patient Chihuahua mix has been stranded, but passersby noticed her and immediately alerted the Arizona Humane Society (AHS).
The team carefully used a ladder and a rake to pull the sweet senior pup to safety.
Once out of the canal, Dorothea was taken to the AHS Pet Ambulance. She was dehydrated, hungry, and covered in ticks, but despite her ordeal, somehow she only had minor injuries.
News of Dorothea’s rescue touched hearts all over, and soon enough, a family from Youngtown, Arizona, came forward and gave her a new beginning. What an experience Dorothea lived through – we’re so happy she’s in a loving home now.

Oh, the joys (and challenges) of having both a dog and a litter box in the same home! If you’ve got a curious pup who just loves investigating every nook and cranny, you may have noticed that the litter box has a bit too much of a magnetic pull. Here are some ways to dog-proof your litter box and keep your pup out of that feline territory!
Choose a Covered Litter Box:
This is a great first line of defense! Covered litter boxes provide a level of privacy that cats love and a bit more of a barrier to keep dogs out. Look for one with a top entry—your kitty can hop in while your dog is left looking on from the sidelines!
Place the Litter Box in a Separate Room:
A simple way to keep the peace is to put the litter box somewhere your dog can’t reach. Consider using a baby gate with a small cat door or one mounted high enough for your cat to slip underneath, but not your dog.
Use a Litter Box Furniture Cabinet:
There are some stylish cabinets designed just for hiding litter boxes. These double as furniture and come in different sizes and designs, so you can match them to your home decor and keep the litter box a bit more out of reach for a snooping pup.
Try a Pet-Proof Doorstop:
If you’re lucky enough to have a cat who is smaller than your dog, a pet-proof doorstop can hold a door open just wide enough for the cat to slip through while keeping it closed tight enough to stop your dog. It’s an easy solution, and no installation required!
Have you found the perfect litter box setup that works for both your cat and dog? We’d love to hear about your tips and tricks, so share away!
