Rivian is a futuristic company that is putting electric vehicles on the road. Their trucks and SUVs are packed with cool features and made for off-road adventures. One of our favorite features is the pet comfort feature. It was one of the most requested by customers. It allows drivers to regulate the temperature inside the car to guarantee comfort for their pups when they are left in the car. It doesn’t matter if it’s a hot or a cold day. 

If you are driving a Rivian, you just tap the paw print icon on the screen and activate the feature. This will also help deactivate things your dog could accidentally set off, like turning on heated seats or shifting from park mode. A large message on the screen lets passersby know that the dog is safe and climate control is on. We love that they have been thinking of dog owners.

Dogs bring so much joy to families, but it’s important to understand what is needed to care for the animals before you add them to your family. There are more costs in the first year because of adoption costs and the need to stock up on supplies. You’ll also need to get all the necessary vaccinations and initial vet visits out of the way. The average costs during that first year, including adoption, range from $1,565 to $6,925.

After the first year, the expenses will likely decrease for a few years. A survey of 1,000 dog owners showed that they spend between $40 and $290 monthly on their dogs. The range is due to size and care needs. Other costs include grooming, pet care, and dog walking. It’s also good to have a plan for any medical emergencies.

Dogs get away with lounging on the couch all day and enjoying prepared meals, so they don’t know how hard their humans have to work to make it all happen. She’s trying to get the pup to understand and take some ownership, but we don’t think that will happen anytime soon!
