Happy Sunday:

Sundays are for spoiling our furry companions—and we’ve got just the treat for you today! In this edition, Minnie’s sharing her top tips for leaving your pup with peace of mind while you head off on vacation, we’ve got a sweet story about a Lab who’s all about those kisses, and we’re introducing a very special Dog of the Day.

So grab a blanket, snuggle up with your pup, and let’s dive in! ❤️

Minnie’s Tips For Leaving Your Pup For The First Time

Heading off on a vacation without your dog can feel like leaving a family member behind. But don't stress — it’s totally possible to make the separation smoother for both of you. Whether you're leaving for a weekend getaway or a longer trip, planning ahead can ease your worries and help keep your pup happy.

First, consider the right care for your dog while you're gone. A trusted friend or family member can provide comfort and familiarity, but if that’s not an option, hiring a certified pet sitter is a great alternative. Ensure they’re someone your dog knows or can become familiar with, especially if you’ll be away for more than a couple of days.

Next, make your home dog-friendly while you're away. Leave extra food, water, and favorite toys within easy reach. Automatic feeders or water dispensers can also help manage meal times, so your dog doesn’t miss a beat.

Finally, leave clear instructions for your dog’s care. Include feeding schedules, potty breaks, and any special routines. With these steps in place, you can enjoy your vacation knowing your dog is well cared for and comfortable!

DOTD: Ellie Grace & Rowdy T. Dougall

Meet the dynamic therapy dog duo from Houston, TX, Ellie Grace and Rowdy T. Dougall! Rowdy, at 14 years old, has been spreading joy and comfort for over 12 years with his advanced therapy title. This lovable senior knows just how to make people smile and feel at ease.

His “little sister,” Ellie Grace, was once a puppy dumped in their neighborhood. Now, at around 10-11 years old, she’s the perfect partner in spreading kindness, with her incredible sweetness and easy-to-train nature. Together, they bring their hearts of gold to hospitals, assisted living facilities, and schools through Faithful Paws Pet Therapy. These two pups truly deserve all the love!
