Your Dogās Dinner is Shaped By History
Ever wonder why your dog loves the food they do? What dogs eat today is shaped by thousands of years of living alongside us. From ancient leftovers to region-specific meals, their tastes evolved right alongside ours.
Early dogs were scavengers, eating whatever humans tossed aside, from bones to cooked grains. And as humans transitioned from hunting to farming, dogs adapted too, shifting toward a more omnivorous diet.
Over time, food habits began to vary by region. In North America, many dogs are treated like family, and their meals often reflect that mindset. In parts of Europe, dietary choices sometimes mirror their ownersā lifestyles, including plant-based trends.
Elsewhere, tradition and affordability play a larger role. In parts of Asia, dogs are still commonly fed home-prepared meals or scraps.
From culture to economy, every factor has shaped what goes into a dogās bowl, and itās why no two dogs eat quite the same way!

Recipes Our Dogs Are Loving
We all want more years with our dogs. More walks, more wags, more time chasing squirrels. Turns out, whatās in their bowl can make a real difference. Studies show that maintaining a healthy weight can add up to 2.5 extra years to your dogās life.
Thatās why The Pets Table creates human-grade fresh recipes designed with a Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist and made in FDA-inspected facilities. Their newest recipes include:
Grain-Free Pork Stew with Butternut Squash (for pups with protein sensitivities)
Grain-Inclusive Chicken EntrƩe with Brown Rice (for pups who benefit from grains for gut health)
Or, try their gently air-dried options. They're shelf-stable, easy to serve, and are up to 40% more affordable than other fresh brands.
Worried your dog wonāt like the food? Try it risk-free. New customers get 50% off their 1st box, with a money-back guarantee if your pup isnāt sold.

South Dakota Pup Takes Midnight Burrito Run
Dogs donāt forget a good snack, and Max is proof. This 4-year-old Great Pyrenees from South Dakota walked five miles in the dark to revisit the convenience store where he once got a breakfast burrito.
His family hadnāt noticed he slipped out when the garage opened late that night. But by morning, GPS alerts showed Max had taken a two-hour shortcut across fields into town. He waited outside the store for five hours.
When that didnāt work, he sniffed out the next best thing: his owner's daughterās boyfriendās house. Heād never been there before.
To avoid future food-driven journeys, the family now hilariously makes Max his own burritos at home!
