Golden Retriever Finds a Cute Way to Speak
Lucie the Golden Retriever has figured out something we could all learn from: how to communicate without saying a word (well, without barking, at least). Instead of barking up a storm, this clever pup uses her body language and gentle “woos” to get her message across, and it’s absolutely heartwarming to watch.
In a recent TikTok video, Lucie answers her mom’s question about where the ball is, without a single bark. A couple of soft woos and a little head tilt later, Lucie sits down and points directly to where the ball is. It’s like she’s saying, “I know exactly what you’re talking about, mom, here it is!”
Golden Retrievers are known for their smarts, and Lucie is proving that in the sweetest way. Whether she’s using her woos to communicate or just flashing her puppy eyes, it’s clear that she knows exactly how to talk to her humans. It’s a reminder that sometimes, less really is more, and Lucie’s quiet “woos” speak volumes.

Why Does Your Dog Love Stealing Toys?
We’ve all seen it happen: one dog has a pile of toys, but they just can’t resist snatching up their playmate’s favorite one. If you’ve ever wondered why your dog is so obsessed with other dogs' toys, you're not alone. And the answer is actually pretty interesting.
For starters, dogs love novelty. Just like us, they’re drawn to new things. If your dog doesn’t have a specific toy at home, they might find another pup’s item irresistible. It could also be about socialization. Stealing toys can be a way for dogs to engage with each other and get attention. It’s like a fun little game of “look at me!”
Of course, some dogs are just naturally possessive, and stealing toys can be a sign of resource guarding. If your dog starts to growl or freeze when others try to play with their toys, it could indicate that they’re feeling territorial. On the other hand, some high-energy dogs might steal toys to assert their dominance and say, "I’m in charge here!"
While it’s natural for dogs to do this, there are ways to help manage it. Keeping toys away when introducing new dogs or avoiding bringing toys to the dog park can keep things peaceful.
