Wisconsin Pup Becomes A Neighborhood Hero
Lillie Ann may be small, but her ears recently did something very big. The 4-year-old dog from Weston, Wisconsin, started scratching at her owners’ front door while they were watching TV, and her behavior was unusual enough that they knew they needed to check.
At first, Robert and Karen Fandre did not see or hear anything in the hallway. But Lillie Ann kept leading the way, and Robert eventually found a neighbor who had fallen, was injured, and had been calling for help. No one else had heard her, but Lillie Ann had picked up on the sound and made sure her people paid attention.
The neighbor received medical care and is now recovering. Lillie Ann’s family says she has always seemed especially tuned in, even noticing mood changes and health shifts at home. It is one of those stories that reminds you how much dogs notice, especially when the people around them need help most.

Why Your Dog Always Seems Hungry
Some dogs finish dinner and immediately act like they have not eaten in days. A little begging can be normal, especially for food-loving pups, but constant hunger, grazing, or searching for snacks may be worth a closer look.
One reason can be the type of food they are eating. Some highly processed foods can be calorie-dense without feeling especially satisfying, which means a dog may get enough calories but still not feel full for long. A more balanced diet with quality protein, fiber, healthy fats, and the right portion size can help support steadier energy and better fullness.
A few simple habits can help too. Feed on a consistent schedule, use slow feeders or puzzle bowls, measure portions instead of guessing, and limit extra treats. If your dog’s appetite suddenly changes, or they seem hungry while losing weight, vomiting, or acting off, check with your vet to rule out a health issue. Mealtime should leave your pup nourished, comfortable, and a little less convinced they deserve your sandwich, too.

Is Your Dog’s Kibble Secretly Bad For Them?
As dog parents, we all want to feed our dogs well. But between busy mornings, tight budgets, and the reality of everyday life, kibble is often the easiest option. The problem? Many traditional kibbles are heavily processed and made with preservatives or ingredients you may not recognize.
That’s why The Honest Kitchen created Whole Food Clusters Dry Dog Food.
As the first human grade dry food for dogs, Clusters gives you the convenience of scoop-and-serve kibble with the quality of real food. Made with real, recognizable ingredients, Clusters are crafted using a unique process of cold-pressing, roasting, and gentle dehydration instead of the high-heat extrusion used for most kibble. This helps maximize nutrition and taste.
Why so many dog parents are switching to Whole Food Clusters:
Human grade ingredients you can recognize and trust
Scoop-and-serve convenience, no prep required
Crafted with a veterinary nutritionist
Contains NO GMOs, meat meals, fillers, corn, wheat, soy, or artificial ingredients.
Available in grain free and whole grain recipes
Made with real proteins like cage free chicken, ranch raised beef, and pasture raised lamb
Can be used as a complete and balanced meal, a crunchy topper, or a healthy training treat
If you want to feed your dog better without making mealtime harder, Clusters gives you the best of both worlds: the ease of kibble with the quality of real, whole food ingredients.

Dog of the Day, Sully
Meet Sully, a sweet old soul with a big bow tie and an even bigger heart, submitted by Daily Dig reader Cindy.
Sully just turned 2 on June 6, and he has already shown how strong and special he is. After being diagnosed with Addison’s disease and facing a scary encounter with a neighborhood dog, Sully has kept right on going.
He and his family walked more than 360 miles last year, and they’re already on track to beat that this year. In March alone, Sully walked 63 miles for cancer with support from family and friends.
When he’s not out walking, Sully loves ice cream, UTV rides, vacations with his mom and dad, swimming in the summer, and snowy Wisconsin winters. Smart, kind, and humble, Sully is clearly one very loved pup.
Thank you to Daily Dig reader Cindy for sharing Sully with us. Want to see your dog featured next? Send us their photo for a chance to be our next Dog of the Day!
